Graffiti Art of the Day RSS

Comments or questions? Want to send me photos to post? Send them to thegreatpalomino@gmail.com

The premise of this blog is simple; every day I will put up a picture of graffiti that I have come across in my travels. Why? Because I love graffiti! It gives me something to enjoy while I'm walking along the streets. Currently my source of material is Madrid but I make sure to bring my camera anytime I visit another city.

I have no experience in graffiti, except that I see it a lot. I don't know any artists by name (unless their tag is easy to read) and I only have a basic understanding of technique.

My photos are in no particular order but I will always say where I found them to as accurate a degree as possible. However I have been taking photos for a quite a while now so it is not as easy to remember some of the older ones.

All photos are taken by me unless otherwise stated. All graffiti is done by random strangers who I have never met (so far, at least).

Unfamous(Buenos Aires) by Ripo
“I love things that are made by hand and that have little mistakes in them. Signage like that was great because you can see some guy had to think about how we was going to communicate his message visually, what colors to use, what font, what other visual things to add to make it more appealing, and there wasn’t necessarily a set logo he was copying and he couldn’t just press Command+P.”
